Workable Pricing Plans: Workable Cost per Month by Company Size, Plan and Add-on
Workable is the one recruiting platform in our comparison that does not charge per recruiter. It charges by how many people your company employs, in nine bands, so the number that decides your bill is headcount. Every figure here comes from workable.com on September 27, 2026.

In one answer Workable costs $299 a month on Standard, $599 on Premier and $719 on Enterprise for the recruiting product, billed annually, for a company with 1 to 20 employees. Standard is also sold month to month at $360; Premier and Enterprise are annual only. Workable prices by company headcount, not by user, in eight published bands up to 1,000 employees plus a quoted band above that, so at 21 employees every plan steps up by about 38 to 40 percent: Standard becomes $419, Premier $829 and Enterprise $989. Texting, video interviews and assessments are add-ons on Standard at $89, $109 and $59 a month in the smallest band, and all three are included from Premier. API access is listed on every plan. The pricing page lists no multi-step email sequence that stops on a reply at any tier.
How much does Workable cost?
Workable costs $299, $599 or $719 a month for its Standard, Premier and Enterprise recruiting plans when billed annually, for a company of 1 to 20 employees. That is $3,588, $7,188 and $8,628 a year. Standard is the only plan with a monthly option, at $360 a month. Premier and Enterprise are marked pay annually. Above 1,000 employees there is no printed price and the page sends you to sales.
Those are the recruiting prices. Workable also sells an HR product (HRIS, onboarding, time off, time tracking, payroll preparation) and a bundle of the two. In the smallest band the HR product alone is $99 a month on Standard and the recruiting plus HR bundle is $359, both on annual billing. Workable says the bundle saves up to 20 percent. At 1 to 20 employees it is $359 against $398 bought separately, about 10 percent, and the full 20 percent appears only in the 801 to 1,000 band.
The figures on this page come from the price table workable.com loads into its pricing page, read for every band and plan rather than just the default 1 to 20 view. That matters because most pages quoting Workable only show the smallest band, which is the one most agencies and small employers actually sit in, but not the one a growing company will pay next year.
Standard: $299 a month billed annually or $360 month to month, 1 to 20 employees
Premier: $599 a month, annual only, texting, video interviews, assessments and referrals included
Enterprise: $719 a month, annual only, adds the custom report builder and additional permission sets
Over 1,000 employees: quoted
Is Workable priced per user?
No. Workable prices by company size, the total number of employees in your organization, and the pricing page does not print a user or seat limit on any plan. The company size menu runs 1 to 20, 21 to 50, 51 to 100, 101 to 200, 201 to 400, 401 to 600, 601 to 800, 801 to 1,000 and over 1,000, and each plan has its own price in each band.
For a recruiting team that meter cuts both ways. If most of your employees use the ATS, which is the normal shape of a small recruiting agency or search firm, a headcount price is cheap per user: a ten-person agency where everyone recruits pays $299 a month on Standard, or $29.90 a person, and a twenty-person team pays $14.95 a person. If you are an employer with 180 staff and a two-person talent team, you pay the 101 to 200 band, $949 a month on Standard, for two people to use it.
Staffing firms should ask one question before anything else. Workable's page does not say whether contractors or temporary workers on your own payroll count toward company size. An agency with 12 internal staff and 250 W-2 temps on assignment could be a 1 to 20 customer at $299 or a 201 to 400 customer at $1,299 a month on the same Standard plan. Get the definition in writing before you sign an annual contract.
What happens to Workable pricing at 21 employees?
Every plan steps up by roughly 40 percent. Standard goes from $299 to $419 a month on annual billing, a 40 percent increase. Premier goes from $599 to $829, up 38 percent, and Enterprise from $719 to $989, also 38 percent. Month to month Standard goes from $360 to $500, up 39 percent.
Some pages ranking for Workable pricing put the jump at about 67 percent. That figure only appears if you compare the $299 annual rate in the first band with the $500 monthly rate in the second, which mixes two billing periods. On the same billing period the step is 38 to 40 percent.
The later bands rise more gently. Standard is $669 at 51 to 100 employees, $949 at 101 to 200, $1,299 at 201 to 400 and $2,799 at 801 to 1,000 on annual billing. Premier reaches $3,959 and Enterprise $4,749 in the 801 to 1,000 band. Because the price per band grows more slowly than headcount, the cost per employee falls from $14.95 at 20 staff to about $2.80 at 1,000 on Standard.
1 to 20 employees: Standard $299, Premier $599, Enterprise $719
21 to 50: $419, $829, $989
51 to 100: $669, $1,229, $1,469
101 to 200: $949, $1,759, $2,109
201 to 400: $1,299, $2,269, $2,719
401 to 600: $1,749, $2,809, $3,369
601 to 800: $2,249, $3,369, $4,039
801 to 1,000: $2,799, $3,959, $4,749
Is Workable cheaper billed monthly or annually?
Annually, and the toggle on Workable's page says "save 20%". The arithmetic is slightly less generous than that label reads. Month to month Standard is $360 against $299 on annual billing, so the monthly price is 20 percent above the annual one, and switching to annual saves you about 17 percent of what you would otherwise pay. The pattern holds across the bands: $500 against $419, $800 against $669.
The practical point is that only Standard can be bought month to month at all. If you want the included texting, video interviews and assessments of Premier, or the report builder of Enterprise, you are committing to twelve months. Workable's 15-day free trial runs on the Standard feature set with no card required, so the higher tiers cannot be trialed before that commitment.
What do Workable add-ons cost?
On Standard, texting is $89 a month, video interviews $109 and assessments $59 on annual billing in the 1 to 20 band, or $105, $130 and $70 month to month. In the 21 to 50 band they are $129, $159 and $99. Performance and engagement on the HR side is $39. Premier and Enterprise include all of them plus referrals.
That makes the Standard versus Premier choice mostly an add-on calculation. Standard with all three recruiting add-ons costs $556 a month in the smallest band, against $599 for Premier, a $43 difference that also buys referrals, the hiring plan, nine native language options, single sign-on and priority support. At 21 to 50 employees the gap narrows to $23: $806 against $829. If you want two or more add-ons, Premier is close to free on top.
How much do Workable AI credits cost?
The Workable Agent can be added to any plan and runs on AI credits. Screening a candidate against your ideal profile uses 1 credit, sourcing a passive candidate into your pipeline uses 2, and each candidate chat interaction uses 10. Credits are sold in packs of 5,000 at $0.12 each ($600), 10,000 at $0.10 ($1,000) and 50,000 at $0.095 ($4,750), with larger packs quoted.
Per action, that works out to 9.5 to 12 cents per screened candidate, 19 to 24 cents per sourced candidate and 95 cents to $1.20 per chat interaction. Every paid account starts with 3,000 free credits, which is 1,500 sourced candidates or 3,000 screenings. Workable notes that credits expire a year after purchase, are non-refundable and are not included in the free trial.
Sourcing a candidate is not the same as reaching one, though. A credit adds a passive profile to your pipeline; getting that person to reply is a separate job, which is where a researched email that stops when they answer does the work.
Can Workable send candidate email sequences?
Not as a multi-step sequence, going by the pricing page. Workable lists a talent CRM database, past candidate resurfacing, social media campaigns, automated actions, texting as an add-on and the Agent's candidate chat. None of those is described as a series of scheduled follow-up emails that stops when the person replies, and no plan lists one.
Workable does list API access and data export on every plan, which is more open than most budget ATS vendors. That makes it easy to run outreach beside it rather than through it. ColdOutreach researches each candidate or hiring manager before it writes, drafts the opener and follow-ups, and pauses the thread the moment someone replies, from $39 a month on annual billing for the workspace. It imports a CSV with every address validated on the way in, so it needs no integration project. Try it on a real prospect in the composer at the top of this page, or see how it works as recruitment outreach software beside your ATS.
Is Workable a good fit for a recruiting agency?
Workable is built for companies hiring for themselves. Its industry pages cover employers in construction, healthcare, real estate, technology and professional services, and its pricing page lists no client records, job orders, placement fees or business development pipeline. An agency can post jobs and track candidates in it, but it will run client development somewhere else.
The agency ATS vendors price differently and include that client side. Manatal starts at $15 per user with a client CRM on every plan, Zoho Recruit's staffing edition at $25 per recruiter and Bullhorn Starter at $99. On the headcount meter, a small agency where everyone recruits can still find Workable competitive: Manatal Enterprise at $35 per user is cheaper than Workable Standard up to eight users and more expensive from nine. The full head to head is in Manatal vs Workable pricing, and all twelve vendors we have read at source are tabled on recruiting software pricing.
Which Workable plan should you buy?
Buy Standard at $299 if you need an ATS, sourcing and job distribution and at most one add-on, and start month to month at $360 if you are not sure yet. Move to Premier at $599 if you want two or more of texting, video interviews and assessments, because the bundle costs only $23 to $43 more than buying them separately in the two smallest bands. Enterprise at $719 is for teams that need the custom report builder and extra permission sets. Budget the next headcount band before you sign an annual contract, because it is 38 to 40 percent higher.
Then price outreach as its own line. No Workable tier sends a reply-aware sequence, and the AI credits buy sourcing and screening, not replies. For comparison with the agency systems, see Manatal pricing, Zoho Recruit pricing and Bullhorn pricing.

Common questions
The questions buyers actually ask before they switch.
How much is Workable per month?
For a company with 1 to 20 employees, Workable recruiting is $299 a month on Standard, $599 on Premier and $719 on Enterprise, billed annually. Standard is $360 month to month; the other two are annual only. At 21 to 50 employees the same plans are $419, $829 and $989. Read at workable.com on September 27, 2026.
Does Workable charge per user?
No. Workable charges by company size, meaning the total number of employees in your organization, in bands from 1 to 20 up to 801 to 1,000, with a quote above that. The pricing page shows no user limit on any plan. Staffing firms should confirm whether temps on their payroll count as employees.
Is there a free version of Workable?
No. Workable has a 15-day free trial with the Standard feature set and no credit card required, but no free plan. The trial does not include the Workable Agent. Paid accounts get 3,000 free AI credits to start.
Does Workable have an API?
Yes. Workable lists API access and data export among the features available in all plans, including Standard at $299 a month. Some budget ATS vendors gate their API to the top tier; Manatal, for example, puts its Open API and Zapier integration on its $55 per user plan only.
How much does the Workable AI agent cost?
The agent runs on AI credits: 1 credit to screen a candidate, 2 to source one and 10 per chat interaction. Credits cost $0.12 each in a 5,000 pack, $0.10 in a 10,000 pack and $0.095 in a 50,000 pack, so a sourced candidate costs 19 to 24 cents. Credits expire after a year and are non-refundable.
Can Workable send automated follow-up emails to candidates?
Workable lists a talent CRM, candidate resurfacing, automated actions and texting as an add-on, but its pricing page does not list a multi-step email sequence that stops when a candidate replies on any plan. Teams that need one usually run a separate outreach tool beside the ATS, which is simple because every Workable plan includes API access and data export.
