Breezy HR is cheaper than Workable on every matching plan and in every company size. For a business with up to 20 employees on annual billing, Breezy Startup is $1,884 a year against $3,588 for Workable Standard, Breezy Growth is $3,276 against $7,188 for Workable Premier, and Breezy Business is $5,268 against $8,628 for Workable Enterprise. The gap widens as you grow, because Workable prices by company headcount and Breezy does not: at 21 employees Workable Standard rises to $5,028 a year while Breezy stays at $1,884. What Workable gives you for the difference is texting, video interviews and assessments included from Premier, a candidate sourcing engine and API access on every plan. Neither vendor lists a candidate email sequence that stops when someone replies.
Both pricing pages were read at source. Workable at workable.com/pricing on September 27, 2026, every plan in every headcount band from the price table the page loads. Breezy HR at breezy.hr/pricing on September 29, 2026, both the annual and the monthly column on every plan card. Every number below comes from those two pages or is arithmetic on them.
Workable vs Breezy HR pricing, side by side
| Plan | Annual billing | Month to month | Meter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Workable Standard | $3,588 a year ($299 a month), 1 to 20 employees | $360 | Company headcount, 9 bands |
| Workable Premier | $7,188 a year ($599 a month), 1 to 20 employees | Annual only | Company headcount, 9 bands |
| Workable Enterprise | $8,628 a year ($719 a month), 1 to 20 employees | Annual only | Company headcount, 9 bands |
| Breezy Bootstrap | No charge | No charge | Per company, 1 active position |
| Breezy Startup | $1,884 a year ($157 a month) | $189 | Per company, unlimited users |
| Breezy Growth | $3,276 a year ($273 a month) | $329 | Per company, unlimited users |
| Breezy Business | $5,268 a year ($439 a month) | $529 | Per company, unlimited users |
Workable publishes all three recruiting plans in eight bands up to 1,000 employees and quotes above that. Breezy publishes four of five plans and quotes only Custom Pro. Few matchups in recruiting software can be settled this completely without a sales call. The plan by plan detail is on Workable pricing and Breezy HR pricing.
Is Breezy HR cheaper than Workable?
Yes, at every tier. Pair the plans by their position in each lineup and compare them for a company of up to 20 employees on annual billing:
| Pairing | Workable | Breezy HR | Breezy cheaper by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | Standard $3,588 | Startup $1,884 | $1,704 a year |
| Middle plan | Premier $7,188 | Growth $3,276 | $3,912 a year |
| Top published plan | Enterprise $8,628 | Business $5,268 | $3,360 a year |
Month to month the picture is the same. Workable Standard is $360 a month and Breezy Startup is $189, a difference of $171 a month. Premier and Enterprise cannot be bought monthly at all, while every paid Breezy plan can, at $189, $329 and $529.
The pairing by position is not perfectly fair, because the plans are not built the same way. The rest of this page is about where the extra Workable money goes, and whether you would use it.
Is Workable priced per user or per company?
Per company, by headcount. This is the most common error on the pages that rank for this comparison: several of them say Workable charges per seat while Breezy includes unlimited users. Both vendors include unlimited users. The difference is what sets the price. Workable charges by the total number of employees in your organization, in bands of 1 to 20, 21 to 50, 51 to 100, 101 to 200, 201 to 400, 401 to 600, 601 to 800 and 801 to 1,000. Breezy charges one flat price per plan regardless of company size.
That makes growth expensive on Workable and free on Breezy. When a company goes from 20 to 21 employees, Workable Standard moves from $299 to $419 a month on annual billing, 40 percent more, and Premier from $599 to $829. At 101 to 200 employees Standard is $949 a month, or $11,388 a year. A 150 person company with a two person talent team pays $11,388 a year for Workable Standard or $1,884 for Breezy Startup, a gap of $9,504.
For a staffing firm there is a second question. Workable's page does not say whether temporary workers on your own payroll count toward company size. An agency with 15 internal staff and 200 temps on assignment could be billed at $299 or at $1,299 a month on the same plan. Get the definition in writing before signing.
Workable vs Breezy HR cost by company size
| Company size | Workable Standard, annual | Breezy Startup, annual | Difference per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 20 employees | $3,588 | $1,884 | $1,704 |
| 21 to 50 employees | $5,028 | $1,884 | $3,144 |
| 51 to 100 employees | $8,028 | $1,884 | $6,144 |
| 101 to 200 employees | $11,388 | $1,884 | $9,504 |
Read the table as a floor, not a verdict. Breezy's flat price is the same for a 15 person startup and a 900 person manufacturer, so the larger you are, the more the comparison is really about features and support rather than price.
What does Workable include that Breezy HR charges extra for?
Three things stand out. First, Workable Premier includes texting, video interviews and assessments. On Workable Standard those are add-ons at $89, $109 and $59 a month in the smallest band. On Breezy, text messaging is an add-on on every plan from $41 a month, and one-way video interviews are listed from Startup. Adding texting to each vendor's entry plan gives $388 a month on Workable Standard and $198 on Breezy Startup, both on annual billing.
Second, sourcing. Workable includes an AI sourcing tool that adds passive candidate profiles to your pipeline, priced in AI credits, with 3,000 free credits on every paid account. Breezy's pricing page does not list a candidate sourcing database. If you fill most roles from inbound applicants, that is irrelevant. If you regularly hunt for people who have not applied, it is Workable's strongest argument.
Third, integration. Workable lists API access on every plan. Breezy lists HRIS integrations on Business. If you plan to push hiring data into payroll or an HRIS, price that path on both before you decide.
Self-scheduling runs the other way. Breezy includes candidate self-scheduling on Startup, its entry paid plan. If booking interviews is the part of hiring that eats your week and you are on a tool without it, a standalone interview scheduling software subscription is often cheaper than moving up a whole ATS tier just to get the booking link.
Which one can email candidates in a sequence?
Breezy lists candidate nurture campaigns, scheduled email campaigns to a candidate pool, on Business only, at $439 a month on annual billing. Its pricing page does not say whether a campaign stops when a candidate replies. Workable lists a talent CRM, past candidate resurfacing, automated actions and social campaigns, and no multi-step email sequence on any plan.
So neither entry plan emails sourced candidates or hiring managers on a schedule, and on Breezy the upgrade from Growth to Business costs $1,992 a year to get campaigns at all. A separate outreach tool is usually the cheaper line. ColdOutreach researches each person, writes the first email and the follow-ups, and pauses the sequence when someone replies. It is $24 a month on annual billing for the whole workspace, imports from a CSV and runs beside Workable, Breezy or any other ATS. The composer at the top of this page shows what it writes for a real prospect. Agency desks can see the full setup on our recruitment outreach tool page.
Workable or Breezy HR, which should you buy?
Buy Breezy Startup at $1,884 a year if you hire from inbound applicants, want unlimited users and positions, self-scheduling and calendar sync, and expect your company to grow. The price does not move when you add staff. Buy Breezy Growth at $3,276 if several hiring managers interview for the same roles and need scorecards and interview guides.
Buy Workable if sourcing passive candidates is a weekly job, if you want texting, video interviews and assessments in one bill from Premier, or if API access matters on the entry plan. Workable is best value for a company that is small and staying small: at 1 to 20 employees the premium over Breezy is $1,704 a year on the entry plans, and past 50 employees it is more than $6,000.
If you run an agency, both vendors will sell to you at list price, which JazzHR will not, but neither lists a client CRM or job orders by client. Agency systems that publish prices, such as Manatal from $15 per user and Zoho Recruit from $25, sit in one table with the other thirteen vendors on recruiting software pricing. The same flat against headcount logic is worked through for another pair in JazzHR vs Workable pricing and Breezy HR vs JazzHR pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Is Workable more expensive than Breezy HR?
Yes. For a company of up to 20 employees on annual billing, Workable Standard is $3,588 a year against $1,884 for Breezy Startup, Premier is $7,188 against $3,276 for Growth, and Enterprise is $8,628 against $5,268 for Business. Workable also rises with headcount, so the gap grows as the company does.
Do Workable and Breezy HR charge per user?
No. Both include unlimited users. Workable prices each plan by total company employees in nine bands, $299 a month on Standard for 1 to 20 and $419 for 21 to 50. Breezy prices each plan at one flat rate for any company size, $157 a month on Startup on annual billing.
Does Workable or Breezy HR have a free plan?
Breezy's Bootstrap plan has no charge but allows one active position at a time and shows only candidates added in the last 30 days. Workable has no free plan. Workable offers a 15 day trial on the Standard feature set, and Breezy a 14 day full feature trial, both with no credit card.
Can you pay monthly for Workable and Breezy HR?
Breezy sells every paid plan month to month, at $189, $329 and $529. Workable sells only Standard month to month, at $360 in the smallest band; Premier and Enterprise are annual only. Breezy's annual discount is about 17 percent on every plan, and Workable's is 17 percent on Standard.
Is Workable or Breezy HR better for a staffing agency?
Neither is built for agencies. Both can be bought at list price, but neither lists a client CRM, job orders by client or placement tracking. Workable's headcount meter also raises a question about whether temps count as employees. Most agencies are better served by an agency ATS such as Manatal, Zoho Recruit, Recruit CRM or Bullhorn.
