JazzHR sells flat company plans: $1,000, $3,480 or $5,508 a year, with unlimited users, the same price whether you employ 10 people or 240. Workable prices by company headcount: $299 a month on Standard for 1 to 20 employees, rising in bands to $419 at 21 to 50, $669 at 51 to 100 and $949 at 101 to 200. At 10 employees JazzHR Plus and Workable Standard cost almost the same, $3,480 against $3,588 a year. At 50 employees JazzHR Plus is $1,548 a year cheaper, and at 200 it is $7,908 cheaper. The one condition that overrides all of that: JazzHR's page says its standard pricing does not apply to staffing or recruiting agencies, multi-location businesses or companies over 250 employees.
Both pricing pages were read at source. JazzHR at jazzhr.com/pricing on September 28, 2026, including the monthly price table behind its yearly and monthly toggle. Workable at workable.com/pricing on September 27, 2026, including every company size band, not only the default 1 to 20 view. Every figure below is from those pages or is arithmetic on them.
JazzHR vs Workable pricing, side by side
| Plan | Annual billing | Month to month | Metered by | Texting |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JazzHR Hero | $1,000 a year ($83 a month) | $110 | Company, unlimited users | Add-on from $39 |
| JazzHR Plus | $3,480 a year ($290 a month) | $350 | Company, up to 200 active jobs | Add-on from $39 |
| JazzHR Pro | $5,508 a year ($459 a month) | $549 | Company, unlimited users | Add-on from $39 |
| Workable Standard | $299 a month, 1 to 20 employees | $360 | Company headcount band | Add-on, $89 |
| Workable Premier | $599 a month, 1 to 20 employees | Annual only | Company headcount band | Included |
| Workable Enterprise | $719 a month, 1 to 20 employees | Annual only | Company headcount band | Included |
These are two of the more transparent vendors in recruiting software. JazzHR prints a price on all three of its plans and Workable on all three of its plans across eight headcount bands. Across the thirteen vendors on our recruiting software pricing comparison, only 25 of 51 plans carry a dollar figure, so this is a matchup you can settle without a sales call, as long as you are the kind of buyer both of them sell list prices to.
Is JazzHR cheaper than Workable?
Yes, at almost every company size, and the gap widens as you grow. The reason is the meter. JazzHR's price does not move with headcount at all until you pass 250 employees, where its standard pricing stops. Workable's price steps up at 21, 51, 101, 201, 401, 601 and 801 employees.
The fair pairing is JazzHR Plus against Workable Standard, because they are the plans most small employers actually buy: both include an ATS, job posting, interview scheduling and reporting, and both sit around $300 a month in the smallest band. Here is what each costs per year on annual billing at three company sizes.
| Company size | JazzHR Plus | Workable Standard | Difference | JazzHR Pro | Workable Premier |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 employees | $3,480 | $3,588 | JazzHR $108 cheaper | $5,508 | $7,188 |
| 50 employees | $3,480 | $5,028 | JazzHR $1,548 cheaper | $5,508 | $9,948 |
| 200 employees | $3,480 | $11,388 | JazzHR $7,908 cheaper | $5,508 | $21,108 |
At 10 employees the two are effectively a tie; $108 a year is not what the decision should turn on. At 200 employees the difference is larger than the whole JazzHR Plus bill, twice over. The premium pairing moves faster still, because Workable Premier climbs from $599 to $1,759 a month across those bands while JazzHR Pro stays at $5,508 a year.
Month to month, the pattern is the same. JazzHR Plus is $350 against Workable Standard at $360 in the 1 to 20 band, $500 at 21 to 50 and $800 at 51 to 100. Only Workable Standard is sold monthly at all; Premier and Enterprise are annual only, while every JazzHR plan can be bought by the month.
Does Workable charge per active job?
No, and this is the most common error on the pages ranking for this comparison. Some of them say Workable is priced by the number of active jobs, and some say it starts at $149 a month. Workable's current page has no job-based meter and no $149 plan. It prices every plan by the total number of employees in your company, in nine bands from 1 to 20 up to over 1,000, with a quote above 1,000. The detail, band by band, is on our Workable pricing page.
JazzHR is the one of the two with job limits. Hero lists job postings starting at 3 a month and Plus lists up to 200 active jobs, both subject to usage limits at JazzHR's discretion. So the honest summary is the reverse of what the ranking pages say: JazzHR limits jobs and ignores headcount, and Workable ignores jobs and prices headcount.
Pages quoting JazzHR are out of date too. The widely repeated $75, $269 and $420 a month on annual billing, and $99, $325 and $499 monthly, are an older price list. Today's figures are $1,000, $3,480 and $5,508 a year, or $110, $350 and $549 a month. The full JazzHR breakdown, including the texting packages, is on JazzHR pricing.
Which is cheaper for a staffing or recruiting agency?
Neither answer on the price table applies cleanly, for different reasons. JazzHR says in a footnote under its plans that standard pricing does not apply to staffing or recruiting agencies, HR service providers, franchises or multi-location businesses. An agency gets a quote, so the $3,480 Plus figure is not a number an agency can plan around.
Workable does not carve agencies out, but its headcount meter creates a different question. Its page does not say whether temporary or contract workers on your own payroll count toward company size. A staffing firm with 12 internal staff and 250 W-2 contractors on assignment could be a 1 to 20 customer at $299 a month or a 201 to 400 customer at $1,299 a month on the same Standard plan. Get the definition in writing before signing an annual contract.
The deeper issue is fit. Both are built for employers hiring for themselves. Neither plan comparison lists a client CRM, job orders by client or a candidate submission workflow, which are the reasons agencies buy an agency ATS. The agency-built tools publish per user prices instead: Manatal from $15, Zoho Recruit's staffing edition from $25, Recruit CRM from $95 and Bullhorn Starter at $99 per user per month on annual billing. If you are weighing a per user agency tool against a per company one, the crossover arithmetic is worked through in Manatal vs Workable pricing.
What does each one include that the other charges for?
Texting is the clearest difference. Workable includes texting, video interviews and assessments from Premier, and sells them as add-ons on Standard at $89, $109 and $59 a month in the smallest band. JazzHR sells texting as a separate product on every plan, priced by how many candidates you text rather than by company size: $39 a month for 50 candidates, $69 for 125, $99 for 250, $149 for 500 and $249 for 1,000.
That makes JazzHR cheaper for a company that texts a few dozen candidates a month, and Workable Premier better value for one that wants texting, video interviews and assessments together, since the three Standard add-ons alone cost $257 a month, against a $300 step up to Premier in the 1 to 20 band.
Offers are the other one. JazzHR Pro includes offers and e-signatures; on Plus they are an add-on without a printed price. A small employer on Plus that only needs to get offer letters signed can do that outside the ATS with a separate document e-signing tool instead of upgrading for $2,028 a year.
Which is better, JazzHR or Workable?
For a single-location US employer under 250 people that mostly needs to post jobs, screen applicants and schedule interviews, JazzHR is the cheaper buy at nearly every size, and the only one of the two whose premium plans can be bought month to month. Workable is the stronger buy if you want texting, video interviews and assessments bundled, if you want the AI sourcing and screening agent Workable sells on credits, or if you are heading past 250 employees where JazzHR stops publishing prices and Workable keeps going to 1,000.
For a recruiting or staffing agency, neither is the natural fit, and JazzHR explicitly prices agencies separately. Start with the agency tools on the recruiting software pricing comparison instead.
Does either one send candidate outreach sequences?
Neither lists one. JazzHR's plans include scheduled emails, email templates and, from Plus, configurable task automation. Workable lists a talent CRM, candidate resurfacing and automated actions. Neither pricing page lists a multi-step outreach sequence that follows up with a sourced candidate over several days and stops when they reply.
That is the job a separate outreach tool does, and it is usually cheaper to buy it on its own line than to change ATS for it. ColdOutreach researches each candidate or client contact, writes the first message and the follow-ups, and pauses automatically on a reply. It starts at $39 a month on annual billing for the whole workspace, imports from a CSV exported from either ATS, and runs beside it. The composer at the top of this page shows what it writes for a real prospect before you pay anything, and the recruitment outreach tool page covers how it sits next to an ATS on a working desk.
How we read these prices
JazzHR's annual prices are printed on its plan cards. Its monthly prices only appear when you switch the toggle, so we read them from the price table the page loads for that toggle, along with the 22-row plan comparison that shows which plan includes what. Workable's prices were read from the table its pricing page loads for every company size band. We did not use third-party pricing databases for any figure here, because the two most repeated ones for this pair are both out of date. Prices change; each figure is dated to the day we read it.
