Manatal costs $15, $35 or $55 per user per month on annual billing. Zoho Recruit's staffing edition costs $25, $50 or $75 per recruiter, with a Forever Free plan below that. On the entry price Manatal is cheaper, but Manatal's $15 plan is capped at 15 jobs per account, so a staffing desk with more open requisitions than that is really choosing between Manatal Enterprise at $35 and Zoho Standard at $25, and Zoho is the cheaper of the two. Neither sells a candidate sequence that stops on a reply.
Both pricing pages were read at source on September 25, 2026: Manatal at manatal.com/pricing and Zoho Recruit at its staffing agency pricing and plan comparison pages, loaded from a US connection. That last detail matters for Zoho, because the same page loaded from Europe shows euro prices, and some comparisons you will find are quoting that version.
The published prices, side by side
| Plan | Annual, per user / month | Monthly | Job cap | Mass email |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manatal Professional | $15 | $19 | 15 jobs per account, 10,000 candidates | Included, no cap printed |
| Manatal Enterprise | $35 | $39 | Unlimited jobs and candidates | Included, plus workflow automations |
| Manatal Enterprise Plus | $55 | $59 | Unlimited | Included, plus API, SSO, user groups |
| Manatal Custom | On demand | On demand | Custom | Custom |
| Zoho Recruit Free | $0 | $0 | 1 active job | None |
| Zoho Recruit Standard | $25 | $30 | 100 active jobs | 250 a day for the whole company |
| Zoho Recruit Professional | $50 | $60 | 250 active jobs | 500 a day for the whole company |
| Zoho Recruit Enterprise | $75 | $90 | 750 active jobs | 750 a day, plus 3 autoresponders |
Between them the two vendors name eight plans and put a dollar figure on seven. That is the most transparent pair in agency recruiting software by a wide margin. Across the eleven vendors in our recruiting software pricing comparison, fewer than half of all plans carry any price, and Bullhorn prices two of thirteen products. If a published price is a hard requirement for your shortlist, these two are where it starts.
Is Manatal cheaper than Zoho Recruit?
On the entry plan, yes, by $10 per user per month. Whether it stays cheaper depends almost entirely on how many open jobs your desk carries. Manatal's Professional plan allows 15 jobs per account, and Manatal's own FAQ is explicit that the limit is per account, not per user, and that a job is not a headcount. Fifteen is comfortable for an in-house team or a boutique search firm working a handful of retained searches. It is tight for a contingency desk and it does not fit a staffing agency running temp and contract orders across several clients.
Once you pass 15 open jobs, the Manatal plan you actually need is Enterprise at $35, which removes the job and candidate caps and adds workflow automations. Zoho's Standard plan at $25 already includes 100 active jobs on the staffing edition. So for a growing agency the honest comparison is $35 against $25, and Zoho comes out $10 per recruiter per month cheaper, the reverse of the headline.
How much do Manatal and Zoho Recruit cost for five recruiters?
On annual billing, five recruiters pay:
- Manatal: $900 a year on Professional, $2,100 on Enterprise, $3,300 on Enterprise Plus
- Zoho Recruit: $1,500 a year on Standard, $3,000 on Professional, $4,500 on Enterprise
At ten recruiters every figure doubles: Manatal $1,800, $4,200 and $6,600; Zoho $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000. Those are straight arithmetic from the published rates, before tax and add-ons. The practical ranges overlap more than the headline suggests. A ten-person agency that needs unlimited jobs pays $4,200 on Manatal Enterprise or $3,000 on Zoho Standard. The same agency needing Zoho's client portals pays $9,000 on Zoho Enterprise. Manatal's grid handles the client side differently: every plan can share specific jobs and candidate profiles with hiring managers, and branding that Guest Portal with your own domain is listed as a separately priced add-on.
Which is cheaper billed monthly?
The two vendors handle the monthly premium differently, and it changes which annual commitment is worth making. Manatal adds a flat $4 per user per month on every plan: $19, $39 and $59. Because the premium is flat, the annual saving shrinks as you climb, from 21 percent on Professional to about 10 percent on Enterprise and under 7 percent on Enterprise Plus. Zoho multiplies instead: monthly is exactly 1.2 times annual on every tier, a saving of 16.7 percent on each one.
The consequence is that paying Manatal monthly is cheap insurance on its upper plans. A five-user Manatal Enterprise desk pays $240 a year more to stay month to month. The same flexibility on Zoho Professional costs $600, and on Zoho Enterprise $900.
Can Manatal or Zoho Recruit send candidate email sequences?
Not in the way most recruiters mean. Manatal lists mass emailing, email templates, SMS and a LinkedIn Chrome extension on all three priced plans, and workflow automations from Enterprise, but its feature grid does not list a multi-step candidate sequence at any tier. Its 14-day trial also excludes mass emailing and email automations, so you cannot test the sending side before you pay.
Zoho Recruit comes closer on Enterprise at $75. Zoho calls the feature autoresponders: a maximum of three, each with up to five follow-ups on fixed dates or intervals. Zoho's own help documentation adds two limits. The system cannot detect when a candidate replies, so you remove responders from the list by hand before the next follow-up. And every autoresponder email counts against the same company-wide mass email allowance, 750 a day on Enterprise, whether you have five recruiters or fifty. One-to-one emails are counted separately, at 300 per active user per day on paid plans.
For most agencies this is the point where the ATS decision and the outreach decision should come apart. Both platforms are good value as a system of record. Neither is built to run researched, reply-aware outreach to candidates or hiring managers at the pace a staffing desk works. ColdOutreach runs beside either one: it researches each prospect, writes the opener and follow-ups, and pauses the thread the moment someone replies, from $39 a month on annual billing. Try it on a real prospect in the composer above. The staffing agency outreach tool page covers how that works for redeployment and client development, and recruitment outreach software beside your ATS explains the setup with an existing system.
If you do send from inside the ATS, Zoho's Standard plan allows five custom From addresses, Professional 25 and Enterprise 50. Running that many recruiter mailboxes is easier with one managed email signature for the whole team, so every recruiter's sign-off carries the same agency details and compliance line.
Where the comparisons on page one go wrong
Three errors repeat across the pages currently ranking for this matchup, and each one moves the answer.
Mixing Zoho's two editions. Zoho Recruit ships a Corporate HR edition and a staffing agency edition with overlapping plan names. Corporate lists Enterprise at $50 and describes its Standard plan as 10 active jobs per recruiter license. The staffing edition puts Enterprise at $75 and adds a Professional tier at $50. One page-one comparison states that Zoho Recruit Standard "starts at $30" with "10 active jobs/recruiter licenses", which pairs the staffing edition's monthly rate with the corporate edition's job allowance. The staffing edition's Standard plan is $25 annual, $30 monthly, with 100 active jobs.
Counting Manatal's plans as three. Manatal lists four plans. The fourth, Custom, is priced on demand, which is why Manatal prices three of four rather than three of three. It matters when you compare vendors on how openly they sell.
Old reads. Two of the page-one comparison pages carry 2024 and 2025 dates in their titles. Manatal has not changed its three published prices in the reads we have made this month, but a comparison dated a year or more ago predates the reads a buyer needs, and in this category vendors retire plans often enough (Loxo and Recruiterflow have both done it this year) that a dated page is a weak basis for a purchase.
Which should a staffing agency choose?
Choose on your job count and your client-facing needs, then price outreach separately.
- Boutique search firm, under 15 open jobs: Manatal Professional at $15 is the lowest published price in the category for a working ATS and CRM.
- Contingency or staffing desk, over 15 open jobs: Zoho Standard at $25 undercuts Manatal Enterprise at $35, with 100 active jobs and a 100,000 record limit.
- Agency needing client and vendor portals with their own logins: Zoho Enterprise at $75 includes both, with 10 portal licenses.
- Agency needing API access and SSO: Manatal Enterprise Plus at $55 includes both.
For the single-vendor detail, our Zoho Recruit pricing page covers every add-on price and the full plan grid, and the other Manatal matchups we have read at source are Manatal vs Loxo pricing and Manatal vs Recruit CRM pricing.
