Neither Recruitee nor Teamtailor publishes a price, so a Recruitee vs Teamtailor pricing comparison comes down to how each vendor builds its quote. Recruitee prices by plan, company headcount in eight bands and billing period, with a one-year minimum, 20 percent off for paying the year up front, a 5 percent list increase on 2026 renewals and renewals calculated without your discount. Teamtailor sells one offer with unlimited users and unlimited job postings, publishes no metric, and says a renewal can rise when a first-year discount lapses or your company grows. Teamtailor includes candidate Nurture email campaigns and its AI Co-pilot at no extra cost; Recruitee caps its Start plan at 5 active jobs. Both quote agencies separately and neither is an agency system.
Both vendors were read at source. Tellent Recruitee at recruitee.com/pricing and four support.recruitee.com articles on September 30, 2026. Teamtailor at teamtailor.com/en-us/pricing, including the raw page source, and its help center articles on billing, finance, add-ons, messaging credits and Nurture on October 1, 2026. Neither page carries a currency symbol. Every fact below comes from those pages; where we infer something, we say so.

Is Recruitee cheaper than Teamtailor?
Nobody can answer that from public information, and any page that gives you a single number for either vendor is quoting one company's contract. What you can compare is where each quote is likely to land and how fast it moves. Recruitee publishes the inputs: your plan, your employee band and whether you prepay. Teamtailor publishes only what is included and lets sales decide the rest.
The practical test is to get both quotes for the same company size and the same term, then hold them against a vendor that prices the same way and publishes. Workable bills the whole company by headcount and prints every band, starting at $299 a month on Standard for 1 to 20 employees on annual billing and rising at 21. Breezy HR sells flat company plans with unlimited users from $157 a month on annual billing. If either quote sits far above those for the same size, you have room to push. The figures are on Workable pricing and Breezy HR pricing.
How Recruitee builds its quote
Recruitee's pricing FAQ answers the pricing question with a formula: plan, number of employees and billing period. The demo form asks for your band before it shows anything, and the bands are 1 to 20, 21 to 50, 51 to 100, 101 to 150, 151 to 250, 251 to 500, 501 to 1,000 and more than 1,000. Headcount is re-checked before each contract year, so growth can move you up a band at renewal.
The contract terms do most of the damage over time. Every contract runs at least a year. Paying monthly is still a twelve-month commitment and costs 25 percent more than prepaying, because the annual price is 80 percent of the monthly one. List prices rose 5 percent for renewals on or after January 1, 2026, and Recruitee's terms calculate renewals on fees excluding discounts. Take a 15 percent first-year discount and the year-two price is 1.05 divided by 0.85, about 24 percent above what you paid in year one, before any band change. The full read is on Recruitee pricing.
How Teamtailor builds its quote
Teamtailor's pricing page is headed "Let us give you a quote" and promises unlimited job postings, unlimited users, support for every user and over 250 features. It names no plans. The site splits buyers into companies of 0 to 1,000 employees and enterprises above 1,000, and its finance FAQ, updated August 25, 2026, gives two reasons a renewal invoice can be higher: a first-year discount that no longer applies, or the growth and expansion of the company. That reads as a company-size meter, but Teamtailor does not state it, so get the metric written into your order form.
The add-on catalog is where the quote grows. Onboarding, SMS, BI-Connector, Requisition Flow, Enterprise calendar, Job offer approvals and Group analytics are all listed as coming with an additional cost, and Audit Log may. SMS and WhatsApp run on prepaid credits bought by card, at least one credit per SMS in either direction. Overdue invoices are strict: reminders at 2 and 7 days, a suspension warning at 14, and no access at 23. The full read is on Teamtailor pricing.
Which one renews higher?
Recruitee is the more predictable of the two because it wrote its renewal rules down. You know the list rises 5 percent, you know the discount drops off unless your renewal terms say otherwise, and you know headcount is re-checked yearly. Teamtailor names the same two levers, a lapsed discount and company growth, without numbers.
The defense is identical for both. Ask for the year-two price in the same document as the year-one price. Ask for the first-year discount to be written into the renewal terms; Recruitee's help center says discounts specified in auto-renewal terms will be applied. Ask what size change triggers a higher bill and how it is counted. A 50 person company that hires 30 people this year should know before signing whether that crosses a band.
Recruitee vs Teamtailor for candidate outreach
This is the clearest difference between the two products, and Teamtailor wins it. Teamtailor's Nurture campaigns are included at no additional cost: email touchpoints with a wait of 1 to 100 days between them, sent from any user, plain or branded, with candidates added one at a time, in bulk, by a stage trigger or from the sourcing browser extension. Recruitee lists stage-triggered automated emails, an AI writer and workflow automations from Advance, and no multi-step sequence to people who have not applied.
Two caveats apply to Teamtailor. Its help article shows the campaign exit options as a screenshot, so we could not confirm from the text whether a reply on its own takes a candidate out of the campaign; test that in the demo. And Nurture works on people already in your candidate database. It is a talent pipeline tool for an employer, not a way to reach hiring managers at companies you want as clients.
Interview scheduling is the other place small hiring teams lose hours. Recruitee puts self-scheduling in Advance, and if the plan you can afford leaves it out, an AI assistant that schedules meetings and drafts email can cover the calendar back and forth until you upgrade.
Which is better for a recruitment agency?
Neither, as the agency's core system. Recruitee's pricing page tells agencies to contact sales for a custom quote, and its plans have no client records or job orders by client. Teamtailor has no agency plan, and its External recruiters feature is for an employer inviting outside recruiters into its own process. Agency platforms publish prices instead, which makes them easier to budget: Manatal from $15 per user a month, Zoho Recruit's staffing edition from $25, Recruit CRM from $95 and Bullhorn from $99, all on annual billing. Sixteen vendors are compared on recruiting software pricing.
What both vendors leave to someone else is reaching people who have not applied, whether that is a passive candidate or a hiring manager at a prospective client. ColdOutreach researches each contact, writes the first email and the follow-ups, and pauses the sequence automatically when someone replies. It is $24 a month on annual billing for the workspace and runs beside Recruitee, Teamtailor or any ATS from a CSV. The composer at the top of this page shows what it writes for a real prospect, and the recruitment outreach tool page explains how it sits next to an ATS.
Recruitee vs Teamtailor, the short version
Pick Recruitee if you want published pricing rules you can model before the call, a trial you can run without a salesperson, and you can live with 5 active jobs on Start or pay for Advance. Pick Teamtailor if candidate experience and employer branding are the point, you want nurture campaigns and an AI co-pilot without paying extra for them, and unlimited job postings matter more to you than a published price. In both cases, the number to compare is the year-two price, not the year-one quote.
