Hunter.io Pricing Plans and Hunter.io Cost per Email Found

In one answer  Hunter.io pricing has four self-serve plans. Free costs $0 with 50 credits a month. Starter costs $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, Growth $149 ($104 yearly) for 10,000 credits and Scale $299 ($209 yearly) for 25,000 credits; Enterprise is quoted. One credit finds one email and a verification costs half a credit, so a found email costs about 1 to 2.5 cents depending on the plan. Every plan includes unlimited team members, who share one credit pool, and Hunter's Sequences tool, with 1, 3, 10 or 20 connected sending accounts. Yearly plans deliver the whole year of credits up front; monthly credits reset and do not roll over.

How much does Hunter.io cost per month?

Hunter.io costs $49 a month for Starter, $149 for Growth and $299 for Scale when you pay month to month. Yearly billing takes 30 percent off each one: $34, $104 and $209 a month, charged as $408, $1,248 and $2,508 for the year. A Free plan with 50 credits a month sits below them, and Enterprise, with a custom credit allowance, is priced by sales.

Some summaries that rank for Hunter pricing put the yearly saving at about 17 percent. The live page says 30 percent, and the arithmetic agrees: $588 a year on monthly Starter against $408 on yearly is a $180 saving, exactly 30 percent.

Free: $0, 50 credits a month, 1 connected email account, 500 recipients per sequence

Scale: $299 monthly, $209 yearly, 25,000 credits a month or 300,000 a year, 20 email accounts

Enterprise: custom credits and connected accounts, price from sales

How do Hunter.io credits work?

One credit pays for one email found through Domain Search, Email Finder or Bulk Email Finder. Bulk Domain Search is cheaper per result: one credit covers up to 10 emails found. Verifying an address through Email Verifier or Bulk Email Verifier costs half a credit. If Hunter finds nothing, or a verification comes back Unknown, no credit is charged, and disposable addresses are skipped without a charge.

Two rules decide how far a plan stretches. The same search or verification is counted only once per billing period, so re-running a list in the same month does not burn credits twice. And credits do not roll over on monthly billing: unused credits reset at the end of each month. On yearly billing the full annual allowance, 24,000 credits on Starter, lands up front, so a team that builds lists in bursts gets far more use out of a yearly plan.

Email found (Domain Search, Email Finder, Bulk Email Finder): 1 credit

Up to 10 emails found through Bulk Domain Search: 1 credit

Email verified: 0.5 credit

Nothing found, or verification status Unknown: no charge

What does one email cost on each Hunter.io plan?

Divide the plan price by its credits and you get the cost of one found email. On monthly billing it is about 2.5 cents on Starter, 1.5 cents on Growth and 1.2 cents on Scale. On yearly billing it drops to about 1.7, 1.0 and 0.8 cents. A verification costs half of that.

For comparison, Lemlist sells its data add-on at $20 a month for 2,000 credits, which buys about 400 verified emails, roughly 5 cents each. Mailshake gives 50 data credits a month on its lower plans and sells Data Finder at $19 a month. If all you need is a steady flow of verified business emails for people you already picked, Hunter is one of the cheapest sources per address among the tools we have priced.

Is Hunter.io priced per user?

No. Every plan, Free included, allows unlimited team members, and Hunter's FAQ says they all draw on the same monthly pool of credits. A five-person team on Growth pays $149 a month, not $745. The limit that does scale with the plan is connected sending accounts for Sequences: 1 on Free, 3 on Starter, 10 on Growth and 20 on Scale.

That makes Hunter cheap for a team that mostly finds and verifies, and tighter for a team that sends from many inboxes. Five reps each sending from two inboxes need ten connected accounts, which means Growth. Extra connected accounts are sold from $10 a month each.

What does Hunter.io cost for a sales team or agency?

Work it out from contacts, not people. A three-rep team that adds 1,500 new prospects a month and verifies a further 1,000 imported addresses uses about 2,000 credits, which fits Starter at $49, or $34 billed yearly, as long as three connected sending accounts are enough. If each rep sends from two inboxes, Growth at $149 ($104 yearly) is the step you will actually need.

An agency running ten clients at 600 new contacts each uses about 6,000 credits a month. That is Growth on credits. If the agency also sends through Hunter from three inboxes per client, the 30 accounts it needs exceed Scale's 20, so the real choice is Scale plus ten extra accounts from $100 a month, or Enterprise.

Solo founder, 400 contacts a month, 1 inbox: Free covers 50 credits, Starter at $34 yearly covers the rest

3 reps, about 2,000 credits, 3 inboxes: Starter, $49 monthly or $408 a year

5 reps, about 6,000 credits, 10 inboxes: Growth, $149 monthly or $1,248 a year

Agency, 10 clients, about 6,000 credits, 30 inboxes: Scale plus 10 extra accounts, from $399 a month

What do Hunter.io add-ons cost?

Four add-ons sit on top of the paid plans. Additional connected email accounts start at $10 a month each. Hunter will also sell you custom domains with email accounts already set up, from $6 a month per account. Inbox Protection, its deliverability monitoring, starts at $7.50 a month per account on monthly billing or $6 on yearly. Credit packs are sold when you run out mid-cycle; the pricing page lists them without a public price.

Not covered by any Hunter plan: the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 seats you send from if you bring your own. For a team sending a few thousand emails a week that layer often costs more than the data. Our cold email infrastructure cost page prices it.

Is Hunter.io worth it for cold email?

For finding and verifying business emails, yes. It is cheap per address, it charges nothing for misses, unlimited users share one pool, and you can buy a single month and cancel. Sequences is a capable basic sender, with A/B tests, rotation, link and open tracking, evergreen sequences and SMTP or IMAP accounts, but recipients per sequence are capped at 500, 2,500, 5,000 and 15,000 by plan.

Where it stops: Hunter tells you who to email and whether the address is valid. Its AI Writing Assistant drafts from a prompt, so 1,500 contacts still means 1,500 versions of one template. Teams that pair Hunter for the list with a dedicated sender usually compare Instantly pricing, Smartlead pricing or Lemlist pricing next.

What the Hunter.io price does not do for you

A verified address is the start of a cold email, not the email. Reply rates come from the first line proving you looked at the company, and no Hunter plan reads each prospect's site or recent news before writing.

ColdOutreach prices that step. Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 researched emails: upload a CSV of the contacts Hunter found, it reads each company's site and public signals, writes a first line and angle for that person, and runs a follow-up sequence that stops on reply. Growth is $99 a month ($49 yearly) for 5,000 emails and three seats. Paste one real prospect into the composer at the top of this page, or see every plan on our pricing page.

Can I pay for Hunter.io for one month only?

Yes. Hunter says you can take a subscription for a single month and cancel when the work is done. After cancelling you keep the paid plan until the end of the billing cycle.
