Instantly is cheaper than Reply.io for email-only outreach at every team size we priced, by 23 percent for one rep and by roughly half from three reps up, because Instantly charges one workspace price by sending volume while Reply.io charges per user until 10,000 active contacts. A single rep costs $37.60 a month on Instantly Growth against $49 on Reply.io Email Volume, both billed annually. Reply.io only becomes the better buy when your team also works LinkedIn and calls, which Instantly does not sell and Reply.io bundles into Multichannel at $89 per user.
Both pricing pages were read at source on October 14, 2026: reply.io/pricing rendered in a headless browser, together with the plain-text price list Reply.io publishes for AI agents and its migration page, and instantly.ai/pricing the same way. Every dollar figure below comes from those pages or is arithmetic on them. Several comparison pages ranking for this matchup still list a $259 Reply.io AI SDR. The cheapest Jason tier on Reply.io's own page is $500 a month.

Which is cheaper, Reply.io or Instantly?
Instantly, for email. The gap comes from the unit each vendor sells. Instantly sells sending volume to a workspace, so adding a fourth or fifth rep costs nothing. Reply.io sells seats on its smaller Email Volume steps and on Multichannel, so every rep adds $49 to $89 a month. Reply.io's flat plans close part of the gap once a team passes four users, but its 10,000 contact plan at $159 is still about twice Instantly Hypergrowth at $77.60, and Hypergrowth allows 125,000 emails a month.
The picture flips when the work is not only email. Instantly does not automate LinkedIn or calls at any price. If your reps need those steps, the Instantly number is incomplete, and you would be adding a separate LinkedIn tool on top. Reply.io's Multichannel plan includes LinkedIn, calls and SMS for $89 per user, which makes it one of the cheaper ways to buy four channels from one vendor.
What each costs a 1, 3 or 10 rep team
We priced three realistic teams on annual billing, assuming a three-step email sequence, so each new prospect is about three sends. Reply.io counts that prospect once as an active contact; Instantly counts three emails.
| Team | Instantly, email only | Reply.io, email only | Reply.io with LinkedIn and calls |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 rep, 800 new prospects a month | Growth $37.60 a month, $451 a year | Email Volume 1,000 at $49, $588 a year | Multichannel $89, $1,068 a year |
| 3 reps, 3,000 a month | Hypergrowth $77.60, $931 a year | 3 seats at $49 = $147 a month, $1,764 a year | 3 x $89 = $267 a month, $3,204 a year |
| 10 reps, 15,000 a month | Hypergrowth $77.60 to start, Light Speed $286.30 once the 25,000 uploaded contact cap binds | 25,000 contact step at $259, $3,108 a year | 10 x $89 = $890 a month, $10,680 a year |
Two notes on the table. For the three-rep team, three Reply.io seats at $147 beat the flat 10,000 contact plan at $159, but a fourth seat would not: four seats cost $196, so at four users or more the flat plan is the cheaper Reply.io option. And for the ten-rep team, watch Instantly's uploaded-contacts limit rather than its email limit; the email allowance runs out last.
What do the add-ons add to each bill?
Reply.io's add-ons are the larger line items. On Email Volume, LinkedIn is $69 a month per account and calls and SMS $29, so one rep who wants both pays $147 a month on the per-user plan, $58 more than Multichannel, which includes them. Email validation starts at $20 a month for 5,000 checks, extra data credits run from $39 for 200 to $599 for 10,000 a month, and done-for-you mailboxes cost $5 a month each on a fresh domain or $15 pre-warmed.
Instantly's main add-on is data. The outreach plans include no lead database. The Starter bundle, which adds 1,500 credits a month and access to Instantly's database, is $85 a month on annual billing against $37.60 for Growth alone, so the data costs roughly $47 a month at that size. If you already buy contacts elsewhere, or use a dedicated tool to find and verify work email addresses before you upload them, you can skip the bundle on Instantly and skip the credit packs on Reply.io.
Are there Reply.io or Instantly discounts?
Reply.io publishes more of them. Its migration page offers new customers who switch from Instantly, Apollo, Lemlist, Smartlead, Outreach, Salesloft or Mixmax 30 percent off annual Email Volume and Multichannel plans, or 10 percent off monthly plans for up to a year. That coupon is the single biggest lever in this comparison: it turns a $89 Multichannel seat into about $62, and the three-rep Multichannel team above from $3,204 to about $2,243 a year. Reply.io also runs seasonal codes; in mid October 2026 the pricing page showed 15 percent off annual Multichannel.
Instantly's discount is the annual toggle, about 20 percent on the outreach plans ($47 to $37.60, $97 to $77.60, $358 to $286.30) and 10 percent on bundles. We found no switch coupon on its pricing page.
Which should you choose, Reply.io or Instantly?
Choose Instantly if your outbound is email, you have or can buy a list, and you want the lowest cost per send with unlimited inboxes and warmup. It is hard to beat on price for that job, and its cost does not grow with headcount.
Choose Reply.io if your reps work LinkedIn and the phone as part of the same sequence, you want CRM integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive on every plan, or you want to try an autonomous AI SDR. Buy Multichannel rather than Email Volume plus add-ons, and ask for the switch coupon if you are coming from another tool. The full plan grid, add-on prices and the seat break-even are on our Reply.io pricing page; the same detail for the other side is on Instantly pricing.
What neither price includes
Both tools price the send. Neither price includes the work of reading a prospect's company and writing an opener that gives them a reason to answer, and that is what moves a positive reply rate from around 1 percent on an unedited broad list to the high single digits on a researched one. On Instantly that work is yours or runs on AI credits; on Reply.io it is yours on the seat plans or costs 30 to 50 cents a contact through Jason.
ColdOutreach prices that step. Starter is $24 a month billed yearly for 1,000 researched prospects and Growth is $49 a month billed yearly for 5,000 with three seats and LinkedIn steps. Each prospect is researched, gets an angle written for them, and counts once however long the sequence runs.
