Instantly is cheaper than Lemlist for a solo sender who stays under 5,000 emails a month, and Lemlist is cheaper than Instantly almost everywhere above that. Instantly's outreach plans cost $47, $97 and $358 a month ($37.60, $77.60 and $286.30 billed yearly) for 5,000, 125,000 and 500,000 emails. Lemlist's Email plan is one flat price for unlimited users, set by monthly email volume: $69 for 50,000, $89 for 100,000, $159 for 200,000, $359 for 500,000 and $659 for 1,000,000, about 20 percent less billed yearly. Lemlist only becomes the expensive one when you need LinkedIn, because Multichannel is $109 per user a month ($87 yearly) and Instantly has no LinkedIn channel to compare it with.

We read both vendors at source: instantly.ai/pricing on October 8, 2026 and lemlist.com/pricing, including the plan offers it publishes in its page data, on October 7, 2026. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Every scenario below shows its arithmetic so you can check it against your own volume.

Is Instantly cheaper than Lemlist?

Only at the very bottom. A founder sending 4,000 emails a month to a list they already own pays $47 on Instantly Growth, or $37.60 billed yearly, against $69 or $55 on Lemlist Email. That is $22 a month saved, and Instantly throws in unlimited mailboxes and warmup, which is useful if you spread sending across several inboxes.

The saving stops at 5,000 emails. Growth caps sends at 5,000 a month and stored contacts at 1,000, so the next Instantly step is Hypergrowth at $97. Lemlist's cheapest tier already covers 50,000 emails for $69 with unlimited contacts. So a founder who sends 8,000 emails a month, or works a list of 3,000 people, pays $97 on Instantly and $69 on Lemlist. Between roughly 5,000 and 50,000 emails a month, Lemlist is the cheaper tool by $28 a month, and by about $22 on yearly terms.

How much does each cost for a five-rep team?

Take a five-rep team sending 90,000 emails a month, email only, with a CRM sync. Lemlist Email at the 100,000 tier is $89 a month (about $71 yearly) with unlimited users and unlimited contacts. Instantly Hypergrowth is $97 a month ($77.60 yearly) for 125,000 emails and 25,000 stored contacts. Lemlist is $8 a month cheaper and does not cap the contact list; Instantly gives 25,000 more sends of headroom.

Comparison pages that show Lemlist costing a five-person team more than $500 a month are pricing the Multichannel plan. That number is right only if every rep runs LinkedIn and SMS steps: five Multichannel seats cost $545 a month, or $435 yearly. A common setup is to keep the team on the flat Email plan and buy Multichannel seats only for the reps who prospect on LinkedIn. Instantly has no LinkedIn plan at any price, so a team that needs that channel is pricing Lemlist against Instantly plus a separate LinkedIn tool.

What happens at high volume?

At 500,000 emails a month the two are level on price. Instantly Light Speed is $358 a month ($286.30 yearly) and Lemlist Email at the 500,000 tier is $359 (about $287 yearly). The difference is what comes with it. Light Speed includes Instantly's SISR system, which assigns dedicated servers and rotates IP blocks for you, and caps stored contacts at 100,000. Lemlist includes unlimited contacts and lists no dedicated infrastructure.

At 200,000 emails Lemlist is clearly cheaper: $159 a month, while Instantly has no tier between Hypergrowth at 125,000 and Light Speed at $358. A team sending 150,000 to 200,000 emails pays more than twice as much on Instantly. Above 500,000, Lemlist lists a 1,000,000 tier at $659 and Instantly moves to a custom Enterprise quote.

Lemlist vs Instantly pricing with lead data

Both sell a B2B database, and they price it in opposite ways. Instantly wraps the database and its AI agents into bundle plans: Starter at $94 a month for 5,000 emails and 1,000 contacts, Scale at $194 for 100,000 emails and 25,000 contacts, and Agency at $555 for 500,000 emails. Billed yearly the bundles drop only about 10 percent, to $85, $175 and $500. Lemlist keeps the database inside every plan and charges per lookup: the $20 data add-on ($16 yearly) gives 2,000 credits, which buys about 400 verified emails or 100 phone numbers.

For a founder who needs around 400 new contacts a month, Lemlist Email plus one data pack is $89 against $94 for the Instantly Starter bundle, and Lemlist still allows 50,000 sends against 5,000. For a team pulling thousands of contacts a month, Instantly's bundles become the better data deal, because Lemlist's credits scale linearly. If you already buy data from a dedicated provider, ignore both and compare the sending plans.

What neither price includes

Mailboxes and domains. Instantly lets you connect unlimited email accounts and Lemlist provides warmup on every plan, but neither plan price includes the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 seats and domains you send from. For a team sending 90,000 emails a month that is often 20 to 30 inboxes across several domains, and it can cost more than the sending tool. Our cold email infrastructure cost breakdown prices that layer separately. If you need to put this comparison in front of a finance lead, you can turn the cost tables into a short slide deck rather than rebuild them by hand.

Which should you choose?

Choose Instantly if you send fewer than 5,000 emails a month to a small list and want many mailboxes with warmup at the lowest entry price, or if you send around 500,000 a month and want dedicated IP rotation handled for you. Choose Lemlist if you send between 5,000 and 200,000 emails a month, if several people on the team need logins without per-seat cost, or if any of them prospect on LinkedIn. The per-plan detail is on our Lemlist pricing and Instantly pricing pages; if you are still deciding between per-user and flat pricing, Mailshake pricing shows what the per-seat model costs a team of five, and Lemlist vs Smartlead pricing runs the same scenarios against the third common option.

Where ColdOutreach fits

Lemlist and Instantly both price the sending. Each has an AI writer, and Instantly sells research agents on credits, but in both the opener depends on the template, variables and workflows you set up. ColdOutreach prices the researched email instead: Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for 1,000 emails, each written after reading the prospect's company site and public signals, inside a sequence that stops when the prospect replies. Growth is $99 a month ($49 yearly) for 5,000 emails and three seats. If your reply rate is the problem rather than your volume, more sends will not fix it. Paste one real prospect into the composer on the homepage and compare the draft with your current template, or see every plan on the pricing page.

ColdOutreach researches every prospect, writes the sequence and keeps your domain safe. Try the cold email software yourself: pick a persona on the homepage and watch it draft your sequence, no account needed.
